Suceava County Signs On to the Bucovina Peace Park
In August 2025, Agent Green and Suceava County Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to support and develop the Bucovina Peace Park, a cross-border initiative that brings together protected nature on both sides of the Romania–Ukraine border. It is an essential step for an idea that began in far darker days.
An idea born in the first days of war
The idea of a Peace Park in Bucovina was born in the first days of the war in Ukraine, from a simple conviction: a border that divides people today can one day become a place of cooperation and peace.
One landscape, two countries
The vision is concrete. On the Romanian side stands the future Bucovina Natural Park; across the border lie Ukraine's protected natural areas. They are joined by the same Carpathian landscape: the same forests, the same rivers, the same communities and a shared history.
Nature does not recognise borders. Hutsul culture and the communities of Bucovina lived here long before today's frontiers were drawn, and the Peace Park is built on that common heritage.
A partnership with Suceava County
The Memorandum commits Agent Green and Suceava County Council to work together to support and develop this transboundary initiative. We thank Gheorghe Șoldan, President of Suceava County Council, for his openness and for taking on this partnership.
